Winfred is a Singapore-based commercial film director with a seasoned eye for cinematic storytelling, visual rhythm and character-driven ideas.

His creative journey began in Australia, where he spent a significant part of his career shaping his craft before returning to Singapore. Starting out in design, motion graphics and editing, he later moved into heading post-production, gaining a deep understanding of how images, sound, pace and performance come together long before he found his calling as a director.

That foundation continues to shape the way he works today. Winfred brings a strong visual instinct to every project, but always with story and emotion at the centre. His films often balance cinematic polish with human warmth, humour and authenticity creating work that feels crafted, engaging and alive.

Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with leading Ad agencies and brands across Singapore and the region, including National Geographic, Tiger Beer, Guinness, Vice, Porsche, Toyota, Mercedes, Singapore Tourism Board, Canon, Caltex, Citibank, OCBC, Expedia, Apple and McDonald’s.

As the industry continues to evolve, Winfred is also embracing AI-driven creative tools as part of his process, using them to explore ideas, develop visuals and open up new storytelling possibilities, while keeping the human touch firmly at the heart of the work.
